Ya'll know this beer, no introduction necessary.
If you can find the Hop Load Holiday, it's pretty good!
Well, some of us had to work today
Happy Black Friday!
@miwestcoaster got your shoutout last night. Detroit is the Buffalo Bills second home these days!
Bottle Logic Brewing -- Immer Erforschen
German-style pilsner (lager)
ABV: 5.33%; pouring temperature: 46 °F; canning info: n/a
3.75/5 rDev -4.6%
look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75
Overall, a decent German pilsner which focuses on the malt profile with a bold, complementary hop bitterness. I had this earlier at a much warmer temperature and enjoy the balance much more so. Served colder it comes across a bit sharper. Still, a nice lager all the same.
...Mrs. BeerGoot and I just finished up a Thanksgiving supper 2.0 this evening, hosting a couple of friends and neighbors...all the food turned out really well...Mrs. BG and her friends are playing Rummikube while I hole up in the Rocket Motel to nurse beer and surf the web while listening to the local classical FM station KCME...it's been a good day...
Love Gustav Holst! It’s very good!
Great post! Have a great trip!
Time for one of my favorite seasonals: Ramstein's Winter Wheat Doppelbock. Lots of fig, plum, chocolate, leather, and tobacco. I'll drink a lot of it during the next few months. Cheers!
Ha! You added this beer four hours ago. I need a review-just kidding. My dad picked out the Hop Load Hazy and I'm finishing up his leftovers. It was ok. Didn't see the Holiday. Had some Wormtown Be Hoppy which I'd seen you drinking-that beer was everywhere. Really solid. Cheers, man!
This lil' brew needs a vigorous pour and the bubbler glass. Odell Rupture Fresh Grind IPA. Fairly juicy and Cat Approved. Meow
Wormtown is on top of their game these days, they've become a local favorite with me.
If you see the Be Hoppier one, grab it - it's nice,
A couple of these guys to round out the evening.
OH Tables On Tables
A Western NY Favorite!
Long day. Woke up early for BCBS shopping. There was a pretty serious bottle share going on with lots of previous variants. A buddy of mine and I were splitting some wild ales.
Started with my buddies Jester King Atrial Rubicite. Phenomenal stuff.
Then we split my Side Project Balaton, a Flanders Oud Bruin aged in Chambourcin wine barrels. (Not pictured)
We finished with a Jester King Noble King. Like a hoppy Saison DuPont. Great stuff.
Now enjoying an O’Fallon Pumpkin Ale.
Vitamin Sea! Yum!
Most likely my swan song before I head into the twilight zone! Zero Gravity, “Black Cat Porter “!
Crushing Mass, a 15.1% Barrel Aged Coffee Stout from 3 Floyds. Wowser!
No Hamms on the grill?!
That looks like an incredibly awesome stout! I wish I could find that here!
Two months old and still packs a hoppy punch on my lupulin trashed palate. Impressive and have been crushing alot of these since we arrived here in the motherland. (Reminding me a little of Hoptimum for some reason. )
Ha! Out of state right now and left all my Hamms and grills at home. Stay tuned. It could happen tomorrow or Sunday after I get home. Cheers!
Well slap my Fanny call Aunt Sally to wake officer O’Malley to rally the rogues galley down in the valley, shall we?
Well, the only Goose Island BCBS that makes it down here is the regular. There was a limit of one per customer. That was fine by me, getting awfully pricey we'll see if this worth the buck an ounce now being charged. I have my doubts, I will try this & probably go back to buying more Mackinac Maple Fudge, better & about half the price or more
Now enjoying a Bell’s 35th Anniversary Expedition Stout Reserve. My last of these. Good lord this is decadent. Hoping they do this one again for the 40th anniversary!
Turtle Cat loves to be petted esp a back massage and tonite...belly rub.
...Holst's 'St. Paul's Suite' has always been a favorite of mine...love 'The Planets', but St. Paul's opened my eyes to a lot of his other works, too...
Completely awesome! Excellent!!!
Mellow down easy.,. great couple of daze off! First Thanksgiving weekend we didn’t travel in a decade. Breathe! Sometimes less is more., cheeeeers!
Happy to send you one. PM me.
Hope you are all able to enjoy a long weekend surrounded by family and friends. Cheers!
Well I've been waiting for 5 weeks for this beer to make it to FL, the first year since Larry Bell retired and sold the brewery, and it's phenomenal....!
Golden Chaos from Bootleggers. Great beer!
Fremont - Head Full of Dynomite v42
Some great tunes spinning right there, Sir. Cheers!
Great beer. For the record, I can buy a four pack of that 15% delicious coffee monster for less than one bottle off this year's Bourbon County Coffee.
