Half Acre Double Daisy Cutter NELSON.

    Canned 11.07.22
Still a 4.2-4.3 in my book.

Congratulations to the Ann Arbor student athletes for a dominant victory. I further commend them for freeing us from needless football discussion for the year (most Browns talk stopped a month or two ago) so we can now move onto the young Cavaliers. Huzzah!

[IMG] Grimm, “Popol Vuh” ! Imperial Stout aged in rum barrels with cacao nibs, Ceylon and Cassia cinnamon and Ancho chiles! This is so decadent it’s like drinking Kraken rum with an Ancho chile “nip”!

Just back from watching Black Panther 2. Now having a Fuller’s 2019 Vintage Ale and glad that I bought two of these yesterday. I might need to stop on the way to the airport tomorrow here in FL and buy a couple more. These don’t seem to get distributed currently to MA.

It is also one of my favorites. It's a easy go to for me especially if I can get it fresh.

I'm interested in thier new Zythophile series coming December. Last time it was Centennial hops which was also tasty. Wonder what hop will be featured this time.

    Cheers!

Misktonic Rye Barrel Bell Witch Proprietor's version. "This is a very special Cola Blend of Bell Witch. A homemade concoction of lime, lemon, and orange zest/juice, cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean, dried bitter orange peel, nutmeg, and coriander seed were imparted into this beer. Surely to make a memorable beer experience and a flavor profile you won’t find anywhere else."
I agree that you will not find this flavor profile anywhere else, and am not sure I would look for it at all, anywhere. But, that said, it doesn't suck. High praise, I know, but still, this hobby demands experimentation, right?

Gotta grab those beers by the horns. To this day, one of our local "OK" breweries made one of my favorite most beguiling beers - a fernet branca variant of black IPA that I'd kill Flipper for (ssssshhhhh....) to have once again. Glad it's weird! Let's keep some beers weird.
    Cheers...

    From pint can marked 08:06 D.C. 10/14/22

Pours into my pint glass a murky amber with a small creamy ecru head. Panels of fine lace adorn the glass.

Scent is tropical fruit, clementines, vanilla, peach.

Taste is bright and sweet with peach, strawberry and orange notes. Cantelope. There is something in the finish that is more sour / bitter. Lime? and grapefruit I think. There is a touch of alcohol esters.

Mouth is a creamy medium with a fine carbonation and a dry finish.

    Very good DIPA.

Back from Thanksgiving with family in NJ and saw that The Alchemist just released the latest batch of El Jefe so I had a hand-pulled pour of Heady Topper just before they closed.
    Got lacing?!?

Now home for some quality time with my boss and El Jefe.[IMG]
