Switching between World Cup and NFL.
Rainy out. Not a hurricane though. Hurricane DIPA from Tree House. Cheers!
Almost cliche with this beer... (wish I could figure out how to get that funny e so my cliche wasn't so cliche...)
Parish Brewing Co. -- Envie - 4XDH
American pale ale
ABV: 5.5%; pouring temperature: 45 °F; canning info: 08/25/22
Yellow Rose IPA - Lone Pint Brewery
The official Schrei drink of putting the ornaments on the tree. Vintages are 2016 (thinning out) and 2021 (tasty).
Listening to my favorite Christmas song while pouring the beers.
Beer of the earlier-Will County Rocket Queen-while losing yet again to my wife and son at bowling. Glad my daughter was twenty over average today. I was just average.
It's a rather dreary day - weather-wise - to finish an otherwise enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend. I was going to open a bottle of BCBS but I'm just not in the mood for it and I really need to be at $25 for the variants. This "Vermont Style" IPA from Arvon Brewing in Michigan is more in my wheelhouse right now. Thank you, @BigIronH for this fine beer. Cheers!
Wow, reminds me of the days of growler-fills-only Bad Boy. Would drive from LA to Alpine just to get a few. (And as much OG Nelson as possible.)
Oh, you want Nelson? Like from the people who actually made Nelson? Look no further, advocates. I'm easy like Sunday morning or, this case, afternoon. I love you. Cheers!
Celebration - always a pleasure.
Tune drop ..using the Les Paul for this one.
Cosmic Crypt, a Farmhouse Pale Ale from TRVE Brewing Company, Denver, Colorado. Somehow this beer, which I would call a fantastic Belgian IPA, made it into my cooler on a trip to Sheboygan. Many thanks @beergoot –> @GreenBayBA
New Oberpfaltz Feuergeist IPA (Citra). Old school IPA with great Citra character. Ripe navel orange, orange peel, floral, tangelo, mango peel, and pine resin. This local-to-me IPA is always on point.
Cross post from the barleywine thread, figured this is close enough. Tasty but not fantastic. Very well crafted beer though overall with impressive head retention for a barrel aged beer.
Good afternoon BA
Both kids are headed back to college and the Mrs. and I are empty nesters again...
My first ever time having the coffee variant. Taking notes for NBW. Cheers all!
...Micah is a generous beer guy...
I'm a big fan of Motueka hops. I only wish it were a hot, sunny day and I could drink it outdoors. Cheers!
Beer drinker’s paradise this weekend!
New Candlemass record!
Crowler of Norsemen Maibock
We have the beginnings of a Celebration train
Raven-A black IPA from Tree House Brewing. Cheers!
It's a supersized blackbird that sure can fly...
Dessert provided by @MacMalt :
Extralicious from IDOL Beer Works. I perceive a heavy dose of Citra in this one. It is definitely welcome. Peace...
“Holiday Ale” from New Holland. A BBA spiced winter warmer and it is excellent. Had it in 2020, they didn’t can it is 2021 much to my dismay. Really glad to see it back this year.
Built and Oreo house with the kids. Turned out better than the gingerbread houses typically do. The frosting was extra “sticky”. Cheers fellas.
Spring House Brewing Co. -- Braaaiins!
Pumpkin ale for zombies
ABV: 8.5%; pouring temperature: 47 °F; canning info: 08/04/22
Auxiliary vice: Old Potrero Straight Rye Whiskey
...wanted to cull any remaining pumpkin beers I may have (didn't have many to begin with)...found this one...
Congrats on the big win, but she still looks better than you & Gomez!!
Sipping on this treat, notes at NBS.
As I locked up the, slowly emptying home of my youth.
Across the street, a father pushed his son, without training wheels.
Wobble, then go, proud dad got a big shout from our yard.
Tears of joy
Learned that skill, there many years ago, thanks Dad
Her voice melts me.
Back in it after watching the TB Bucs fold.....Jai Alai from CCB, in Tampa.....
Bought a case of these. Gave one 4pk away. One more 4pk left to go...
It's our youngest's birthday today-a nine-year old! He gets to choose his dinner and he chose Mrs. DavetotheB's meatballs and pasta. The pasta's frozen (don't judge) but the meatballs are homemade-and they're divine. There's cake too. All that to say, that's why I'm not drinking this Hamms by the grill. Cheers!
I'm not sure if this is brilliant or just really bad. I love it though...
Perhaps one the best beers I’ve ever had. I wax poetically about this on a cross post on the barleywine thread, but I feel lucky to have this cheers all.
When I moved to California, I told you that this would be the house beer. I love it. Cheers!
This song puts me in a mood.
Jealous. You probably know Beachwood has some great fridge staples, too . . .
So, the plan was to make my Mom's version of Italian Beef (cause you know, Scotch/Irish families from central Illinois make the best Italian Beef ha). Assuming I had all the spices I needed at home, I just got some peppers. Also, not really paying attention to the peppers I got, they were jalapeno instead of peperoncini's ha. So, not the right spices, or peppers. Instead I changed coarse, with some taco seasoning, and made crock pot beef tacos. Which were pretty good.
A classic Saint Arnold Amber in the glass goes particularly well with this. Its also, still a gorgeous day out, can't get enough of my courtyard today.
Making some Czech red cabbage as a side tonight, so figured I need an Urquell while i cook it
Continuing with post-Thanksgiving/Xmas headstart. Gouden Carolus Christmas. This one was left over from last year; a whole nother stash is cooling it's heels in the cellar. Still drinking great.
Will get back to a DIPA for Monday night, but this is the exact right thing on this rainy, chill Sunday.
And, oh yeah, go Iggles!
Bell's "robust" Porter. Do they brew a non-robust version?
