Hello Advocates. Thanks @Ozzylizard for 3694 here. Music was rockin' on the drums last night. Was exhausted when I got home and didn't even have a beer! Batteries now recharged and Deschutes Black Butte Porter is now playing. Cheers!

Pics of Bam Bam the stag that broke one of my bird feeders. He's big and it looks like one of his antlers has been broken. Saw him raiding the neighbors feeder then crossing my front yard. I put wire around my small trees because of this buck.

I re-up'd on Yellow Rose today. They had Ayinger Oktoberfest pints on sale for 2.49 at Total. Looking back I should have grabbed a few for the fuck of it. Dumb dumb.

    Cheers y'all!

Clear, light yellow body; dense, lively, small-bubble carbonation; decent head, white and 1 1/2 fingers thick. Light malt aroma with some very subdued esters. Deliciously mild malt flavor; light citrus note; slightly more than mild hop bitterness; clean; balanced. Light body; lager smooth; crisp; very light warmth overall.

Compared to the tap version I had last year, the can version is better all around. Not bad for a light lager.

Original July 10th, 2021 ratings and scores:

    3.75 3.25 3.5 3.5 3.5; overall: 3.46; rDev: 0%

Pale, straw yellow body; coarse carbonation; decent white head, fairly thick and fluffy. Very little smell; light and indistinct. Thin taste; very mild malt presence; nice overall hop bitterness. Very light body; juicy in a watery manner.

This is a light lager and the beer nails the 'light' side of things, but it kind of misses the boat with flavor. The rather strong hop bitterness was the saving grace for giving the taste a 3.5 rating instead of a 3.25. This beer is drinkable, but there are other, tastier light lagers to be found.

Had on tap at ViewHouse - Colorado Springs.

Try to tell me I'm the only one who is happy to see this in a 12-ounce bottle again. I didn't think so. Wish they'd put the variants in the same format.

Enjoying the newest SNBC AHS release from a few weeks ago. Nicely done the old school way, love the citrus and pine hop combination!

Deep and clear amber body; very sparse carbonation; thick and frothy white head, sticky and semi-creamy. Very nice malt aroma infused with notes of biscuit and very mild esters. Excellent malt flavor; rich with moderate caramel notes; a suggestion of honey; moderate hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; mild residual sugar abrasiveness; moderate dryness; chewy.

A big, malt-forward beer, heavier than a lot of pilsners yet full of flavor.
