Found a hider, Firestone Tiki Smash Mind Haze IPA

It took me a while to warm to this album, but there are some great Jimmy Farrar vocals on this album

Edit: This is the rare IPA that seems to be improving with age. Flavors are melding nicely, seems better than the 3.66 I gave it except maybe the nose.

I mean it cant hurt. There are so many people that need assistance. I feel lucky to have the simple life I have.
I try to do as much as I can for less fortunate others. (Seriously) Sometimes its just a smile. Others it a walk or a few bucks. Im humbled by these folks and I always want it to be that way. Now on the best side of that if I can drink beer and do it....
    I Will do it!!

Happy Thursday. Been a heavy work week with the last holiday out of the way now. Listened to Contraband by Stuart Woods (just okay and pretty generic) Now onto The Vigilantes by WEB Griffin, but mostly his son I suppose who co-wrote it. It's pretty complex and I am not into it that much, the killer/cop parts going back and forth is repetitive. It's trying to be Without Remorse unsuccessfully.

With the upcoming Holiday's I got a work lunch coming up and a housewarming party from someone at work coming up. Made me reflect on my career and only 10 years ago I was just getting started in weight at Chrysler and I had my first "retirement party" at some tavern. 10 years really is a long time, hard to believe I thought I'd be in MI forever at that point. I'd rather be here, but learned from the past, but trying to meet more people and make more memories. Learn more stuff/books. That's really the meaning of life after all. I've already figured that out.

Got some grocery shopping done Tuesday. My dad gave me old beer that was at his house before I left Ohio. This Elysian was best before 2019 so I bought it "back then", but I used it in 4 lbs of chicken thighs. The bones just fall off, so it doesn't matter if you get the bone-in for instant pot. Truly the best for making chicken dishes.

From @Ozzylizard, Trails to Ales Train Wreck Tripel. Poor head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big apricot, red apple, pear, grape, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish. Slight wheat/yeast tang/tartness. Medium high carbonation and medium-full body. Fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Lingering sticky hop drying, with no astringency. Light increasing warmth of 9% after the finish. Very smooth for the ABV and spot on for the base style. Very impressive. 4.07

The one in Waltham, the city I was born in by the way, is packed all the time. When we lived in Framingham we shopped the Ashland one, which was equally crowded. We started driving to the Maynard one because it was bigger and not as crowded. The owner of the chain is really one of the good guys.
