Day 3 of my homemade advent calendar experience, we’ll go with one of the best beers Chicago has to offer: Benthic 2022. This beer is consistently excellent, and reminds me of the friends I’ve made thorough beer advocate. A nice, rich follow-up to the Old Rip Van Winkle old fashioned I just had.

Went looking for the original version, but this was too good....

 

We just returned from volunteering at our Church's Live Nativity. Mrs. Mac was one of the lead singers in the choir while I directed traffic in the parking lot through a driving rainstorm. As it chilled off my teeth were chatttering! A long, hot shower and a favorite beer have me feeling human again. Cheers!

 

My local cable dropped Svengoolie's channel. Still salty about that.

 

We did our visit down to Conway. The D3 Football coach offered my son a roster spot. He now has to figure out whether he wants to be just another student on a huge campus living at home. Or do the football thing away from home at a much smaller school. Up for him to decide. The stay-at-home option will most likely be cheaper, but we'll see.

I cut the cord a while ago. I refuse to pay for ads and propaganda. I’ll take my free TV. I have over 40 channels and all I’ve ever bought was a 50$ antenna. I never see myself going back to paid for monthly TV. Cheers.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a young lady I was dating invited me to see Genesis at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago, (she was a huge fan and worked for a ticket agency, 2nd row center,) to see "The Lamb", it was awesome, I became a fan, then Gabriel left and Collins took over. IMHO, two different bands, I preferred Gabriel's. Thanks for the memory.

yes, I was surprised to see it - there’s a great taco / whiskey place in Chicago called Big Star that I highly recommend. They frequently have allocated whiskies and restaurant picks at very reasonable prices.

 

Second Christmas parade in two days in the books, time for beer. Only Interested in New Zealand, a Double IPA from Hop Butcher, with Pacific Sunrise, Nelson Sauvin & Riwaka.

Got my tix for pantera in jersey and I will suffocate complaining about how the fuck Metallica is firstly included and secondly headlining over them. My eyes rolled so far back in my head that I died and this is my ghost typing this because I'm so annoyed by it that my spirit won't pass over

The amount that I do not care about Metallica is astronomical and beyond human comprehension and I'm THOUROGHLY shook with every cell in my body
