I remember seeing Born of Osiris for the first time during the Summer Slaughter tour, July 2008, at The Rave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The lineup was stacked, but they made quite an impression.

 

Have had this beer one other time and it doesn't disappoint.

Four saints bitter brothers esb. Aromas and flavors of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, nutty, light coffee/roast, wood, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, light dark fruit, yeast earthiness. Medium pine/herbal/roast bitter finish. Medium carb and body. Balanced creamy bready malt and sticky resinous hop feel. Long resinous drying finish. No astringency. Minimal warming 4.8%. This is spot on stuff. I love it. 4.25

Left work early @ 5:30, went next door to The Alchemist (they close at 6) for a hand-pulled pour of Heady Topper! Everyone needs to experience this!! Next up, down the road at Doc Ponds for two pours of Twilight of the Idols from Hill Farmstead. (Couldn't have just one!!!)

Dinner today was a wagyu coulotte, sous vide and then finished in an iron skillet. Served with French fries and a wholly invented sauteed mixture of leeks, garlic, shiitake mushrooms, and bacon.

 

...I always liked their pale ale 'Red Seal' a tad better (at least back in the day), but can't seem to find it in my area - can't even special order it...but it is hard to beat Scrimshaw overall...

 

...demanding women...can't live with them, can't live without them...guess we can always drink with 'em, though...

Took me awhile to finish off .5L of the Barleywine, plus some left over spaghetti. Boulevard Space Camper Cypersonic C-Hops DIPA. Jags look iffy so far. This from my Mizzou beer run today.
