Sprecher Dopplebock 8.0% ABV, 12oz cans this year not bottles. I bought (3) 6 Packs. This one might taste better in 1 year, I will try to age some. It's tasting good now.

While I'm not thrilled about the switch to cans, I am thrilled to now be in the distribution footprint - last year I had to drive east to Shangy's to find any, and then it was $ 18+ a bomber. This year it's $13 for a 16 oz can locally - just about the same cost/oz. Cheezy paperboard box. Still, good!

 

Good day BAs! Chilly 38° walk with the dogs earlier. We don’t bother turning the house heat on and it is 63° inside as I post. Usual morning chores done so it must be coffee time - Rocky Mountain Barrel Aged QORIS The Quasher, a quadruple oatmeal RIS aged in Colorado whiskey barrels, from Hoppin’ Frog, Akron OH:



Canned 11/2/22. Poured at 50°. Lots of warmth from 15.7% abv. Bitter roast, char, whiskey and burnt sugar dominate. Working on my tasting notes…

I plan on sticking around the house today; maybe fire up the oven and bake an apple pie. And maybe another beer ;-)

Groceries gotten, dishes done, and about to start making some split pea / potato soup for lunch....bought one of these online, as i have heard good things about Untitled Art's NA beers, but damn pricy....it is very very good though - highly recommend this one if you are looking for a great NA pils during dry January / or anytime - and money is no object!

Bottled 9Aug22. Poured at 56°. This is my favorite batch of the last few years. Bourbon chocolate truffles candy delicious. Moderate warmth in mouth from 14.3%, and only mildly boozy. I need to buy a few more bottles to cellar.

Outside temperature is 46° now and sunny. We may hit mid 50s today. Cheers gang!

This one is a coffee cake inspired imperial stout 10% and it is not a joke. This is exactly why I say Deciduous Brewing is NH elite brewery. This has it all, killer body, gorgeous, and down right amazing. I will catch up with you all later.

Hello happy beer drinkers! Thanks @AzfromOz for 3739 and it's a lovely day here, breezy, mostly sunny and is 36F and rising a bit more. I've a bit of tree pruning to do today with my 28ft extension saw (multiple beer breaks rqr'd) and I just got a drum gig for the 28th (lucky number today) at the Fitzgerald Theatre here doing the Van Morrison portion in an annual performance of The Last Waltz by The Band. Pretty cool huh?! I've done it b4 with other groups so this will be fun! <><><>Beer beer beer. That's why I'm here!<><><>I'll listen to "The Trees" by Rush and start with Alpine Nelson...the crusty guy that lives on the ski slopes. This is a great tree pruning breakfast beer. So orangey. Cheers!!


Made this cool lil' outdoor bowl to live in our rock garden. Turn it over and it's just a basalt stone from the shore below Split Rock Lighthouse/Lake Superior. Very cool.
