Hello friends! Thanks there @Ozzylizard for 3742. Not a dry cup in my haus this January. No sir. No ma'am. Wet Wet Wet and more sky juice on the way. Btwx 2-6 inches expktd overnite. Good thing I tuned up ye oulde snow thrower ystrdy. Lots of lube, including our treadmill. I sauced the shite outa that thing big time as well and just ripped 5 miles on it. Some smooth gravy. So yeah, lube. Now it's my turn: Falling Knife Hidden Temple HIPA with Eldo, Idaho & Momo Cryo. Great to be here today! Cheers!!

Myself and many of my mates enjoy the gummy world including Mrs. DeWitt.

 

1) Saint Errant Fuzzy Britches (7.8% no date): A NEIPA from Chicago with DDH Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo for flavors of tropical pineapple, papaya, with some light mango and melon. Resinous herbal notes within. Juicy, tropical, and leans sweet.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Scrap Metal (7.5% canned 10/31/22): A NEIPA from Chicago with Ekuanot, Citra & El Dorado for flavors of lime citrus, guava, and some dank and herbal cannabis notes. (Correctly matched both blind)

Winner:
1) Saint Errant Fuzzy Britches: Surely an upset here. For Hop Butcher standards Scrap Metal seemed just okay. Lime and herbal cannabis notes, and perhaps the dank cannabis isn't quite my style. My first Saint Errant NEIPA and shouldn't be the last. This one was fantastic. Juicy, tropical with some defining and sweet tropical papaya flavor which is hard to isolate and pull off. This brewery is going on the Chicago radar.

 

...well, hopefully you'll recover 100% soon enough...I've been to Amsterdam once...not a great experience overall, but did get blind drunk and hit by a car which almost resulted in a fist fight (but my friend Cal diplomatically got us out of that jam)...like @Shanex, the smell of hashish was prevalent (but, being military with tippy-top secret and beyond clearances, we didn't indulge) and we did 'window shop' along the red-light district but didn't purchase anything...

 

Man, I am very impressed with this NA beer - I thought their Italian style pils was excellent too, but this is next level good! I wish it were not so expensive, but I may have to break down and get a 6'er of this one! Wowza!

I don't drink many beers from Brooklyn but this one is a winner to me. And it's reasonably priced at $4.50 for a 16 oz. Not many barrel-aged stouts at that price point.

 

Lucky! Mine was the Tart Cherry edition.

 

I think I saw that one. Sounds pretty gross. Not a big fan of fruited stouts in general.

 

What I meant was, that the 4pk I had was "infected"/soured. And it looks like, I'm not the only one.

**Side note: I'll never forget about 10 yrs ago I picked up some brews, one 6pk being SNPA. Each SNPA bottle had well-settled sediment 1/8" thick and I chose to pour it all in. That was some tasty snappy brewhaha right there.
