Chowda' or something in a nice spicy cream sauce?

 

Starting the pre-game festivities with an Ocelot barrel-aged beer. This one had a strong wine profile when I bought it (and 11-15 others) about two years ago. It still has a heavy wine aroma coming from the pour:


A little oxidation, but the mix of wine berry, melanoidin, brown sugar, and hint of booze from the wee heavy all work for me.

This is at least as good as it was fresh. Speaking of, I don’t recall seeing any batch of Gravity Always Wins from Ocelot in the past couple of years. Hopefully in the near future that’ll change.

Random final thought, I eschewed doing BBQ the baby back ribs today in fable oh cheesesteaks using thin sliced ribeye delivered from Allentown, PA by my parents.

 

This beer comes to me from Milton, Delaware by way of @Braunmeister_1943 ’s IPA express. Swishy Pants, featuring Galaxy, Citra & Mosaic. Perfect after breakfast fruit juice on a gorgeous Springlike day is Southern Wisco. Cheers!

When they are that size, linguine comes to mind. I didn’t get any much bigger today so no chowder or stuffed this time.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday ba. Up and at it here. Chocolate cherry, bba stout, kbs variant. Pretty straight forward drinking just with a subtle sweet cherry flavor on the finish. Not in love with it but decent drinking,
