    Ducked out early and kicking the weekend off at our new local brewery, Autodidact Beer. I’m currently enjoying Little Green House, an English Pale Mild Ale. Kudos for brewing this obscure style and doing it so well. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

    Kind of an odd choice for a somewhat cold day with rains and winds rolling in.

    But, it was sitting in my fridge for a week untried, so here we are.

    Fiddlehead IPA (Fiddlehead Brewery, Shelburne VT). The Second Fiddle (DIPA) is too dangerous; you can´t stop :slight_smile:

    Tappin' into this Pryes Pragmatic Pils. Damn good and I love Pilsners. Good day to start re-reading an old book from college. Theory of vibrations, resonance, harmonics, ya know...fun stuff. A good friend of mine is in a Gamelan orchestra and he's got a good handle on harmonics. Man, this beer is fantastic, it's pissing rain, thundering and is about 35F. This read makes me wanna listen to King Crimson. Cheers BAs!!

    Autodidact just tapped Usurper, a NEIPA, today. The brewer doesn’t publicize (or discuss) the hop bill but this one has some New Zealand hops (not named Nelson). Whatever its ingrediants it’s a first rate New England IPA and quite an achievement for a new brewery. Cheers!

    1) Off Color Tooth and Claw (5.0%):     A Czech Pilsner from Chicago with flavors of buttery bread, soapy yeast, and floral notes.
    versus
    2) Junkyard Uncle Chuck’s Czech Pilsner (5.0%): A Czech Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of lemon citrus, grains, yeast. Clean and dry.
    versus
    3) Bauhaus Wonderstuff (5.4%): A Czech Pilsner from Minnesota with bready and salty flavors. Lemon and bitterness off the end. (Mismatched all three blind)

    Winner/Rankings:
    1) Off Color Tooth and Claw:     Probably the most authentic Czech pils with bready and soapy yeast flavors. Buttery, lightly floral. Pretty darn good.
    2) Bahaus Wonderstuff: Very enjoyable Czech Pils. Has a bitter and salty flavor that is nice. I've always enjoyed this one.
    3) Junkyard Uncle Chuck'z Czech Pilsner: A decent Pils. Lemony and clean. Leans a little more hoppy, thin, and German than Czech. Could use a little work.
