Good morning BAs! Brunch coffee is a cross post from the final day of March Beer Madness - Old Rasputin:



Bottled 7/17/22. Poured at 57°. A classic dry, bitter roast RIS. Glad I’ve been able to add it to my breakfast routine this weekend.

A beautiful hot (mid 80s) day on tap today. I’m going to laze about inside, maybe do a load of laundry, and monitor/post in the MBM Tournament thread where it is a close see-saw battle between early favorite Bell’s Two Hearted IPA and Old Rasputin RIS the beer that rose through the ranks to vanquish the last remaining Cinderella beer.

Come join the fun! Post one of those two beers in that thread, or just comment on the action like several of your brethren.

Dark and Stormy Ale, a rum barrel aged Scottish Ale with ginger root and lime zest. Seemed fitting while I prep jerk chicken, beans & rice, and mango salsa for dinner. I think I always enjoyed this beer more than most, but it is intense! The ginger remains strong and the pucker factor on this one is five out of five for a beer. Like some of CW’s other rum barrel beers, probs more like a cocktail than a beer. Might make a good reduction sauce?
