OK - I do have some Bells Java Stout on deck - but I'm starting with this:

My last one and I didn't see anymore on the shelves today. :(

But - plenty of Celebration to take it's place! :)

    Prost!

Second stout of the night. Though it drinks more like a porter, than an imperial stout.

Drinking my first Jai Alai. It's very good! Seems very similar to STA's Monkeynaut though, anyone that's had both agree?

Tried that Sunken Island IPA when I was in Alaska and quite enjoyed it. Only thing that kept it from being great, IMO, was the alcohol factor, which I thought was a touch too noticeable.

As I sit here sipping on my Boulevard Pop-Up Session IPA and looking at that picture, all I can think about is how I would much rather be drinking one of those.

Stopped by my favorite bottle shop tonight for ISD and they had this.

So I went with Good People El Gordo

    And then Stone Woot Stout.

And I took Avery Czar 2012 and STA Cabernet Laika home. Working on the Czar now...

(Not my pic, I am feeling way too lazy)

Really glad New Glarus brought this back, used to buy a ton of old/"aged" 4-packs at this one store in Milwaukee that has a great NG stock. Was super into it, but glad I'm finally able to try it with less than over a year on it, very unique and interesting beer fresh.

a daughter promised an entertaining afternoon
I've chosen MikkellerSF and Henry's Hunan, tomorrow
    mixing new & old
the first, the original Henry's was on Kearny
the 89 quake put a seriously gaping crack across the front, looked cartoonish, hollywood, crumbling
they had previously increased the seating capacity nearly 20% by taking the door off a closet
half stroke of an X, gone
    but still great as ever
    cheers

Told my daughter, specifically, that it was Stout Day. Gave her money and instructions. What does she bring me? an Irish Red. I love her beyond life itself and she is just now getting in to beer (she really likes Werewolf). She has never obeyed me and she is not about to start now. *throws hands up in air*.

Massive, everlasting head. Grassy hops. Very clean. Better than last year's Citra version.

This Em effer just SHOWS up with some damn Pliny without giving me a fricking heads up so I can prepare for the AWESOME I was about to experience. My first Pliny and it BLEW my mind!!

Then dude breaks out some La Freak!

Needless to say I've been crying and partying for a little while from the happiness happening in my house, may need to drink more to calm myself down..

After dinner with the fam, Sam Adams Winter Lager on tap. As far as I can deduce, all Sam Adams lagers use the same base beer. And. Meh. Cheers LNBA!
