Starting with Jack's Abby Jabby Brau. I didn't realize that it was stout day. Have to grab one later.
Drinking SN Celebration
I heard it smells nice
Thanks @Reappropriated for this awesome extra!
Continuing with another great stout....
Something I look forward to every year (like so many Founders products, eh?)...
Went to pick up my case of Backwoods Bastard today and somehow a case of BCS ended up in my trunk as well
What are the odds the Peruvian Morning is infected?
Sounds like you'll be rolling those dice again this evening
Can't ignore the fact it's international stout day. Going with a 2012 Expedition. Cheers!
Can't argue with that, right? Consider yourself fortunate.
Drinking a Goose Island Sixth Day. Cheers!
Canned 10/22/13 and the perfect start to an unplanned weekend!
My first ever brown shugga. May need to pick up a six pack of it.
I picked up a 6 pack of this when in IL a couple of weeks ago and it's a great hoppy Pale Ale. I could drink this any day of the week, all year long. What a fantastic beer! Cheers!
And another one.
Top 10 beers for me here. Delicious.
Thanx Lynn and I'll give a good hearty welcome to The Bruery to AK.
Good evening BAs! Starting off with this tonight. Cheers all!
My picture from earlier.
Now onto this
Taste off: Troegs Perpectual IPA wins by a mile over the milder, light weight, but refreshing HIPA - possiblye Magic Hat's best? As reviewed below...
3.83/5 rDev +3.5%
look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75
An under-rated Hop bomb. The best I have tasted out from under the Magic Hat.
A: Pours a very hazed, very light apricot with a mid sized white head that paints a alot of lace. Well done.
Smell: Hops! Fruity, grassy, perfume-y, and slightly doughy.
Taste: Follows the smell. An original hop bomb. Biscuit and caramel (cinnamon roll) up front with a piney / grassy hop follow on... then the finish is a bit watery but enough bitterness and hop tingle to satisfy. Very hippy, flowery.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation, missing a bit of body in the finish. A bit mass feeling.
Drinkability: A must try for Magic Hat. However, you wonder at all these seasonals, "IPAs on tour", as just a gimmick too far, but every now and then they almost get it right. This is an interesting refresher, hop bomb.
It is a tad thin.
I bought a sixer of that last week, enjoyed it quite a bit for what it is. But considering both are $8.49/sixer, Odell wins everytime.
After that last mistake, redemption with Odd Side Ales Black Citra. Cheers!
Kicking off a three day weekend! No fuckin' around here.
Damn, I almost opened a bottle of Boulevard Dark Truth Stout earlier but somehow spaced on International Stout Day. Whatever. I'll just pretend tomorrow is Stout Day
Anywhooooo, I had some Fullsteam Beasley's Honey White today at lunch with chicken and waffles at Beasley's in Raleigh. And that was seriously tits. Since then I've had a bottle of Hoponious Union with dinner, and now I'm killing last night's growler of Wicked Weed Hop Diva (which could be in my top-five beers of 2013—so good!)
Finishing a much needed DFH Burton Baton after driving home from DisneyWorld honeymoon.
Dessert from a can. Glorious beer!
Ya know, I got a young boy that prefers Pepsi, but my oldest son shares Torpedo, Euro Pils, Chimay and Germans w/ me. My daughter likes reds. She is a young Irish lassie, after all. I wuz just thinkin'. I have always loved beer. It's no secret to my family. They will toast a cold one at my wake, for sure. Beer is the beverage of friendship. Good, good stuff.
Your dogs are the best man
In the hotel room.
Cigar City White Chocolate Double Cream Ale
You know the rake is a bad thing? It's the money the casino takes per hand to make money off of a game that doesn't involve the house. Amazing movie though
The most interesting thing about that Pop-Up Session is how it gets better as it warms, yet I only get to appreciate this by the end of a glass if lucky. As a session IPA, who drinks this stuff slowly enough to allow it warm up?
Left Hand Homefront IPA.
Had my Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Aged Wild Turkey Stout. It was good, a little thin but very intense.
Moving on to BORIS from Hopping Frog. Looks good, waiting for it to open up a little.
They are lovin them bones
Getting on this bandwagon California style.
