Just damn!.. so my caretaking duties are coming to a end. I'm bowing out after not getting along with my dad unfortunately. Should be moved within 4 months out to East Texas. Getting a camper!.. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Sorry for my venting this is stuff that's been weighing heavy on my mind for months, and fuck yes it causes me to drink more. I'll still be me posting just will be cheaper beer and lighter beers while I save to make the move.

    Cheers y'all!

I've been there a few times. Awesome place! New Glarus is a neat little town to walk through also. I'm not a huge fruit beer fan, but Serendipity and Wisconsin Belgian Red are both excellent @ New Glarus.

Now drinking Wisconsin’s second highest rated beer on tap at the source - Belgian Red:

Tons of tart cherries. An awesome fruited ale!

Large property to wander about and relax, and lots to see inside during self guided tour of brewery and museum:

    Cheers y’all!

Glad you tried that one. New Glarus is killer with their fruited Ales. Like I said earlier, Belgian Red and Serendipity are superb! I believe Serendipity came about because of a bad crop of cherries one year so they added a couple other fruits to it, and voila!

First time at brewery, I’ve always wanted to visit. I’ve had both beers before (a bunch) and happy to drink at the source. I love cherries and Belgian Red is unbeatable. Cheers!

    Good evening,
easy Monday watching the Serie A basketball playoffs.
Ichnusa (Assemini, CA - ITA) for Heineken Italia S.p.A (Sesto San Giovanni, MI). - Industrial lager (4.7%).
66 cl bottle, on offer for €1.40 at the supermarket.
    "Best before: 02/2024".
Classic smell of industrial beer on the nose: only malts and cereals.
Very clear straw, very clean... very filtered.
    Nice foam hat.
In the mouth effervescent liquid without soul.
Non-existent body, changes little with sparkling water.
Classic industrial product based on maize and with a contribution of hops reduced to a minimum both in terms of taste and above all in terms of bitterness.
Malted part that prevails but does not give a real defined taste.
Slight hint of corn in the aftertaste and nothing else.
    Beer for mass consumption.
    Soulless.

I appreciate that. It's been rough but it'll all work out. Once I get to the country (with a stock of craft beers) I will be at peace. Already got work lined up. Just getting my funds sorted which ain't much.

    Y'all are awesome. Cheers! :beers:

    Happy Monday, Beer fam!!!

Haven’t had one of these in a long while and it still hits the spot on a warm day. So refreshing and I felt I lost weight just drinking this thing. LOL

Clear, pale straw colored body; fair carbonation; thin head, white and quickly dissipating, thin, patchy remnant lasts throughout. Light malt nose; grassy hop scent. Light cracker flavor with a light hop bitterness; nice mineral tone. Light body; smooth. Light body; crisp; delicately smooth.

I've had several pours of this at the Sheboygan brewery, so the looks are better than my Colorado home review (perhaps the beer needs to acclimate to the altitude as we just got home only two hours ago). Otherwise, it retains all of the basic, unassuming pilsner qualities I like about it. It's easy drinking and quite crushable.

Enjoyed your review for the Saint Arnold Summer Pils, always interested in seeing others opinions on breweries in my neck of the woods, as outside of the hyped ones like maybe Spindletap Houston Haze or Lone Pint Yellow Rose, not a lot of people from outside the area comment on them. On the Pils vs Helles thing, yeah I think you are right it is a Helles. I have a review from, way long ago that is around 3, probably I'm probably subliminally thinking it should be closer to a Pils, but even then it was written so long ago, its probably just a bad review on my part, and I don't want to look at it ha. I never understood why Saint Arnold labels like it does though, their Oktoberfest isn't one of those either, but thats what they call it (it has won multiple awards as a Scotch Ale ha). Anyway, if you ever get a chance to try Saint Arnold H-Town Pils, go for it, its one of my fridge staples.

Anyway, I'm off to Southern Yankee Carfthouse...will have pics of their stuff later, and think tonight is steak night :sunglasses: I'll see you guys in a bit.

 Makes me happy I helped you to enjoy that review. It was enjoyable for me to. I almost sent him some Spindletap to but dates weren't as fresh as I would've been comfortable with. He's got some more good ns heading his way.
