This isn’t the Nelson I remember from 2011, especially being hazy now. But it’s still a tasty beer…more like a NEIPA though.

Rainy evening, so I decided to use some credits to rent the new John Wick movie. Going strong with some 120 Minute from 2016:


But I am sharing half of it so I don’t get to inebriated and miss out on the dialogue subtext and other subtle plot points of the flick.

 

I don’t like to do this, because I believe in the sanctity of the WBAYDN thread, but between polishing off this first beer from the magnificent WCIPA box that @Todd curated and writing a review for that beer, all while tending to a campfire at the lake, well, this OG beer nerd was juggling a LOT.



Lots of citrus and berry flavors in this flavorful WCIPA, the mouthfeel was just a little soft for the style, but man did this beer help correct my attitude after a long work week.

And now, 15 minutes later, this iconic barleywine is in my glass, and I am in beer nerd heaven. What a magnificent beer this is.

 

I miss vintage early 2010s Wychwood. Pretty solid beer with some absolutely delightful artwork.

As for me I’m downing a Stone double delicious Ipa while making Some beef stew I slapped together in the Dutch oven. Laid off beer this week as I’m trying to get back in shape while recovering from acl surgery back in January, and glad to say today I was able to ride my old cheapo road bike 10 miles
