Warm and humid enough, I figure I’d do some Snörkel-ing, with an auxiliary smoky vice from the same state as the beer.

Enjoying a couple of rounds of Born Sinner from Branch and Blade out of Keene, NH. Met the brewer Trevor while volunteering at the Hopfly Free the Whales Festival last Saturday. Trevor is a real chill guy, fun to chat with. This NEIPA hits the palate just right, a lovely blend of hops without it being overly juicy/yeasty and sweet. Well done, rated a 4.27. May need to go to B & B when in Vermont at the end of the month.
    Cheers!

Been a little while since I've had Stone IPA. Why? (I ask myself.) It won't be as long anymore. Just outstanding!

Years back, I don't remember which advocate it was, but he'd award 1st 2nd and 3rd place for best beer pictures each day. I know attention to proper glassware figured somewhat into his grading. I remember feeling special if I was ever mentioned (rarely).

    Hey BAs!

Not sure how it keeps happening, but this is my last Schilling again.

Going to enjoy the heck out of it after a lovely beach day.

Got a southern tier IPA in the metal pint glass. Been laying off beer during the week to try to combat the weight I gained during my acl and meniscus surgery recovery so it feels good to have one again. Plus after hauling my fat ass 20 miles on a bicycle one or two should do the trick!

How do you quick soak with an instapot? I don’t use mine as often as I should but I’d be down to do some quick soaking

Does Schilling make ciders also? I saw some Schilling Cider at the store. If so, hopefully the beer will soon follow.

The method we used was 5 minutes at pressure, then let it vent off naturally - and that's it. Results: they're definitely re-hydrated, but a touch on the mushy side. In other words, this method definitely cooked them a bit, but it works in a pinch if you forget to soak them overnight.

That appears to be a separate entity.

If you enjoy lagers, I hope you get to try some Schilling Beer Co. They know what they're doing.

    Cheers!

Dang, that's what I should have been doing too.

I've completely let my training go, and have a notoriously difficult mountain race coming up early on Sunday morning, after a wedding in VT tomorrow. Oy!

    This one's gonna hurt!

Clarity, a "Cold IPA" from German brewer FrauGruber (6.2%).

While I'm pretty sure that the "Cold IPA" will go the way of the "Brut IPA", not because of the similar flavor profile but rather because of the fad nature, I rather enjoyed this and wish they would be here to stay, just like I did with Brut IPA. This makes for quite a crisp, bitter and refreshing drinking experience with some fruity and dank accents.
