    look: 3.5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.5

    Hazy, peach and orange colored body; over-carbonated (three cans) with overflowing suds from the can and the glass; white, densely sudsy head, long lasting. Very nice aroma, primarily lime. Sweet, citrus flavor; lime, orange, and sweet grapefruit; mild hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; coarse with over-carbonation (like a soda pop); mildly acidic; partially dry overall.

    This is a beer I'd like to love. The appearance (forgetting about the over-carbonation) is unique and oddly pleasing. The aroma is very enticing with its lime character and the taste holds promise of what it can be, but the mouthfeel and over-carbonation really bring this beer down. Hopefully, future releases (if any) will resolve the carbonation issue.

    Sorry to hear about your knee @EdmundExley , but glad it appears you have a proper diagnosis and course of action for recovery. Really hoping it’s a slight fraction for your pain level, recovery time and long term impact.

    I’m going to drink to Shanex’ health and celebrate Tuesday with this one of my favorite new beers in 2023. Others I’ve shared this with have also enjoyed, brewed locally by a great brewery.

    Clear, medium-dark gold body; coarse carbonation; nice head, fairly dense and sticky; thick rings and splotches of foam paint the glass. Mild aroma; faint grain note with a light herbal quality. Mildly toasted grain flavor offset with a medium-intensity hop bitterness; mild, woody, herbal taste. Medium body; lightly velvet in feel; light, soft dryness rounds things out.

    Hey, it's a basic pilsner, with respectable flavor and mouthfeel.

    Finally, after a bad bout of vertigo, I've felt good enough for some walking and beers. Today was a 3 mile walk and then a couple $2 drafts @ Tap 22. Cold Boot IPA, from Crawford Brew Works is beer #1, and Three Floyds Gumballhead Pale Wheat Ale is beer #2. It's good to be back.

    Schilling Modernism, last of the 4 pack. Pretty hard to beat this beer. 4.8% I'd love to visit the brewery, taproom, whatever they got ... someday.

    Got my 8+ miler with hill repeats done earlier, and feelin' OK. Can't believe it's already flippin' August! :astonished:
