What's standard pint of a good local Ale going for these days?

BAs! Happy weekend! Had to do a bit of early morning leaf mulching. I'd already run all fuels out of my machines but the trees dropped leaves like crazy the past 2 days AND my neighbor's lawn care person left some extra work for me last nite...and he's back this morning! Fecker. So, I had to go get my special non-oxy gas and fire up the lil' tractor for 45 min. PITA. It's done. For breakfast I'm have this Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Cheers!!

 

Lagunitas is Heineken now. It is in the supermarkets here in Holland. But I do mistrust anything made by Heineken. Is it still really good? And what if I buy here in the Amsterdam area, is it the same like you drink in USA?

 

My understanding with regard to ownership is that the beer isn't different (and Born Yesterday Fresh Hop Ale is outstanding) it's more about distro. There are some dedicated daily Lag drinkers who may differ with my opinion and I know Lag slimmed down their product profile, but again, IMHO, the beers taste great. The good folks in NL who rcv USA brewed beers are subject to all the conditions of shipment. Same as USA getting Heineken. Lagunitas beers need to stay cold.

 

Condolences. Cheers to having had such a great person in your life. We all should be so lucky. Enjoy every sandwich.
