    Had reservations for a family lunch at a nice restaurant downtown. Even called in sick. And then the poor daughter is under the weather. I think this calls for a day of not doing much.

    Finished the rest of the Christmas morning breakfast pizza with a Toppling Goliath Cage's Castles DIPA. This is a really nice DIPA that scores 93 which is well deserved.

    Whenever I visit Virginia, I buy as many different Fine Creek beers as I can. This is Biere de Noel, a Belgian strong dark ale. Balanced & delicious.

    In the background is a recreation of the battle of Iwo Jima, courtesy of my military history fanatic (and toy fanatic) nephew.
