What beer are you drinking now? #4120

1) Falling Knife Freischütz (5.3%): A German Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, lemon citrus, flower, yeast. Clean
versus
2) Venn Pils (5.6%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale malt, bread, some lemon hop flavors with a sweet finish. Bitter. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Venn Pils: German vs Czech Pils from Minnesota. First is Falling Knife Freischutz, the German Pils. I thought it was a bit heavier for a German Pils, still authentic and nice flavors. Very drinkable and good.
Next is Venn Pils, a Czech Pils. Pours similar, stronger aromas. More rich bread and cereal flavors. Heavier, sweeter, and more bitter as well. Two similar, but different styles. Both are brewed to style. I'm preferring the Czech Pils today. Great couple of brews.

Just a week over a month old, and tasting amazing in FIFTY-ONE DEGREE (F) January weather.

Finally done working for the day. Challenge of the day - helping a legally blind colleague down in Texas who can't login to his laptop. We finally got him squared away but it took a while and required the assistance of his wife. I earned this beer today - Sip of Sunshine, even though there's no sunshine to be had in these parts, just clouds and more clouds.

Oye amigos! It's a great day for a beer here so I'll get right to it. Lagunitas Beast Of Both Worlds Bi-Coastal IPA. This is one of the better IPAs I've had in a long time. Incredible mouthfeel & ripe citrus. I'll be rating it highly fo sho. Had a great run today in sunny 53F air... last day of January. Outrageous. I am just gonna destroy 2 of these brews pronto. Cheers BAs!
