What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4134

Had this from the can last week, thought it was quite tasty. Nice to get it into a glass. Is a good looking beer. Total needs to get packs of this already. I need a pack or 2 in the fridge. I'd drink this over most hazies any day..

I picked up 2 sixers a TW last Friday. Drank one straight from the can also (Heady). It was great.

I enjoyed taking it from the can at first. Letting the taste of the beer really speak before seeing it. I'm still waiting for our Total to be stocked I might call up there and check. What did you pay a 6r?

Yeah I need more. Since dry January few beers have made me want a 2nd round. This is 1 of few that's made me want another round. Palate has been super picky for some reason.

I missed catching Ruination on tap. It went so fast. Was bummed. Maybe we'll see it on tap again.

$16.99 and had a TW $2 coupon for each. So $14.99 is great IMO.

 

1) New Glarus Dancing Man Wheat (7.2%): A German Hefeweizen with flavors of orange citrus, wheat, yeast, and spices.
versus
2) Weihenstephaner Vitus (7.7%): A German Weizenbock with flavors of orange citrus, wheat, sweet banana bread. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Weihenstephaner Vitus: Imperial Hefeweizen Battle. First is New Glarus Dancing Man Wheat (#3 ranked Hefeweizen). Big Hefeweizen, but doesn't drink so. Actually hides the alcohol and sweetness extremely well as I'd guess this was about 5% or so. Yeasty, not too sweet.
Next is Weihenstephaner Vitus (#2 ranked Weizenbock). Drinks a bit larger and sweeter. But also packs a ton of great flavors. Both are great, but Vitus is just about perfect.

Oh that's a steal!. Was 17.99 at Craft Beer Cellar was hesitant to pay that knowing I'll probably find it cheaper.

 

Why I buy 2 singles to know. This is not a good example of a pils. Idk how this won gold. I'm getting hoppy cheap macro vibes.. Even looks greenish. Expected more from Meanwhile.

It was, more bourbon than complexity at this stage, but very enjoyable. Looking forward to your sunset in Montana beer and pics later today!
