Next up is Modem Tones from Modern Times. Imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla added. 13.4% ABV. This is the newest release (2024). Fantastic stout! Cheers!

Solid Coffee Stout from another brewery you've probably never heard of, 2 Row Brewing.

Uber local dinner: Chicken shwarma (first of two) from 2 blocks away and Glint from Autodidact, canned on 3/7. No complaints from this quarter. Go, Tar Heels!

Heard it for the first time this weekend. The guy I share the office with liked it a lot, too. It’s a rocker.

Considering my inventory, have to keep Celebration in the regular lineup. Malt overtaking the hops at this point, but still a very drinkable beer. Glad I chose this over the Grateful Dead Red wine my wife is drinking. Throwing down some chicken parm for dinner. Peace!

That is the truth for family and romance, but it should not be for dudes who drink like 13 different 9%+ ABV beers on a Saturday, and want to post it online somewhere. If they don't do it on BeerAdvocate, after doing it for a long time, what changed? Some of them gave me an explanation. But in each case, I didn't truly understand where they were coming from. We need to prevent this from happening with anyone else. I value every post from everyone on this forum.

Here's a new-to-me from Chris Pappalo of Eredita Beer in CT. Chris brewed at
Hill Farmstead for a few years when I met him before starting up this venture.

    Bottom of can reads: 24038.
(Canned the 7th of February, '24.)

Moderate pour yields a one inch pure white head over a nice and bright golden body with sticky lacing.

Nose of lightly toasted bread, slight malt, and very slight citrus with noble hop aromas evident.

Taste has a slight malty sweetness married nicely to its near medium hop bitterness finishing nicely crisp.

Feel is very good with medium carbonation.

Overall, cheers to Chris (and his Dad's inspiration) for a job well done on this German Pilsner.

    C&P from NBW #190.

Are they drinking at home or at breweries/tap houses/bars? If it’s the second, it may be easier to tap a few buttons about the beer they’re drinking and go back to being social with the people there instead of here.

Was there a common theme or just random BS for reasons given. To be fair it might just be easier and less effort to do 9 untapped check-ins vs composing 9 posts. I don't fault anyone who would want to post less for any reason. It's honestly good to post less sometimes.
