Sometimes there's nothing better than opening and pouring a bottle of beer.
This one in particular is fantastic.

 

Did some house work. Now relaxing with a 2023 Lagunitas Willettized.

My wife is out with our oldest at yet another bday party this afternoon, so I'm watching the little guy for a while.

Rain stopped, so i decided to take him for a walk with an Industrial Arts Week 365

the rain started again fierce as we were halfway through the walk

Rain stopped again, so had an Other Half Juice Collector. I'm a really big fan of this beer, and it's a great example of what i think a NEDIPA is (not Tree House level, but close)

 

Now having a Twin Elephant Deserted Village, watching some golf working on some hot sauce and dinner prep

Watching some Big10 hoops (Ohio State / Rutgers) and waiting for a 4:30 tip-off against MSU at home. We never know what we're going to get on the floor from week to week so pre-gaming big. Pulled an "Imperial Triple" from the cellar for @eppCOS and @The_Kriek_Freak (), the ABV on this is even a little scary for this beer noobie.



Ya know what else is scary? This twelve year old (scroll to 4 minutes in)!



I've been playing guitar for a long time and can't hold a match to this kid, not even close!!

Heart's Grown Cold ~ Nazareth

 

1) Hop Butcher Treez Freez (8.0% canned 1/3/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Pacific Sunrise, and Mosaic for flavors of orange citrus, sweet berry medley. Hints of pine.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Kielbasa King (7.5% canned 12/27/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic and Nelson for flavors of white citrus, sweet grape, overripe berry, melon. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Hop Butcher Kielbasa King: Hop Butcher IPA Battle. First Treez Freez. Nice hop combination comes together for sweet blueberry medley and melon flavors. Smooth, sweet, and extremely flavorfl. Needless to say, I'veeally enjoy this one.
Next is Kielbasa King. One of my all time favorites. Mosaic and Nelson combo. Fairly similar berry flavors, but with the addition of sweet grape from the Nelson. This beer is a wonder. I've been seeing a lot of Hop Butcher posts on this thread recently which is nice.
Navigating Sundays without football is hard, but Hop Butcher Sundays makes it tolerable.

I went with a big pour of Art History's Helles lager, Good Morning Munich, because it is delicious.

 

Taking my Guinness glass out for a test drive before next weekend's main event. As always, this is delicious.

 

Troegs Little 'Nator ..

 

Cherry Chouffe is easily the best cherry beer I've ever had. Yea it's fairly easy to get hold off over here. My local bottle shop stocks it.

 

Rakau, Motueka, and Citra 8.5% good and a little unique in flavor.

Agreed- Love that beer!

 

Met up with a few friends at Gnosis, my local brewery. Had a Solscape IPA, their flagship hazy with Citra/Galaxy, and a new nitro stout called Irish Goodbye. That stout was like a Guinness on steroids. Delicious stuff!
Now back home enjoying a 3 Floyds Alpha King APA. Grapefruit, orange, and pine character from the hops with a bready, biscuit, and caramel malt backbone. Hops manage to barely stay forward with a firm bitterness. As classic as they come.
