Scottish Ale





Deep cola color with orange/Red tinges around the edges. Small tannish cap with little lacing.

Aroma of bready malt with touches of caramel and light peat.

Simple flavors of lightly roasted caramel malt, richer than average dark malt and a hint of smoke in the background. Hops are there as a balance and do that job well. Flavors work well together and produce an above average beer.

Medium texture with enough carbonation to pop.

This comes across as a less intense version of the Scottish Ale stye.

first up Phillips Brewing 'Dino Sour Power - Fruit Punch' @ 7.0% ,
to be followed by Backcountry Brewing 'I'm Not Even Supposed to Be Here Today' Orange Creamsicle Fruited Sour @ 5.5% ,
and tonight's closer back to Phillips Brewing 'Dino Sour - Orange Dreamsicle' @ 4.2% ,
all served from 473 ml cans , prost

 

Gate latch doesn't fit. Mrs DavetotheB and Amazon to the rescue. We'll try again next time. Some burgers and dogs for dinner and a participation trophy Heady. Cheers!

At Equal Parts this afternoon, for some quality Sunday day drinking

First up is Pilsner Resov, a Hladinka pour. Love everything about this. One of the best lagers in Texas.

Then their Armour Vienna Lager, which I love as well. A monstrous grilled cheese and brisket sandwich from the truck outside. This is great.

 

My lady & I are doing a bit of remodeling this year and are cleaning out some stuff. Selling our 4 bar chairs. Set of 4 1970's Captain's Mate swivel chairs that came with the house. We want regular type 360 swivel stools. Time for a Modist Day Of Another Dream WCIPA. Last can. Cheers!
