Dimensional Dorm Room Cartwheel. Picked this up last week in Dubuque IA and it’s pretty damn tasty.

Generally I like Toppling Goliath hazies more than Chicago's, less sweet. This collaboration is nicely tropical without the cloying sweetness. And, picking some arugula and bloody dock for tonight's salad.

Late Friday news dump Good News!
    • Congratulations on your first week on the job @Dethark ! Also glad you secured a position relatively quickly. Hopefully the new scenery and opportunities will spark your interests.
    • Happy Birthday @DavetotheB !
Late start as usual now on Fridays with the coinciding of the later new New Beer Weekend Friday night (here) kickoff. Have an international and collaboration pairing this weekend for my three at home selections. Starting off with one from England, intrigued by the Trappist brewer, bottle shape and listed contents.

Link to the New Beer Weekend # thread. WBAYDN treatment, complexity in bottle notes and aroma vanished, this is barley malt squared. Still glad I tried and would give brewery or draft version a second shot.

Inspired by @Monkeyknife 's Blue by The Jayhawks post yesterday, I would like to do an all weekend tribute to one of Minnesota's finest bands.

Schells No Frills (5.1%): A German-style pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, bready malts, yeast. Smooth and soft.

This beer is exactly what it says it is. A classic German Pilsner, Not too overpowering, a smooth mouthfeel. Not the most robust flavor, but no frills and drinks soft and smooth.
