Yeah, I'm not gettin' too much alcohol as well, and I'd say for the most part, I'm gettin' pretty much the same thing you're gettin'. Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I think this is very well done as well and that says a lot from me as I'm not a true Belgian fan though I do tend to like the darker Belgian ones. I'll definitely let this one warm a bit longer before I do a review on it.

Didn't think I'd like this beer but I'm loving it.

    Cheers!

New NB Snapshot wheat. Good citrus notes that gets better towards the last sip.

It is getting there. And dang is it delicious. You are right, it has a Hershey's Chocolate taste to it. I am digging it.

Sounds like you need The Beast from Avery.
I am not a fan of Belgian style brews for the most part, but The Beast surprised the hell out of me.

If you're really digging this, seek out Caldera Mogli.
    You won't be disappointed.

Also breaking in my new glass. Tasty, but a little underwhelming (based on my expectations).

Enjoying some leftover pork smothered in a creamy dijon sauce with apples. Yummy!

Really digging some Amon Amarth tonight. This song features a cameo from one of my favorite bands, Apocalyptica (not in this live version, though). Flashback: I was a radio DJ doing a metal/goth/variety show when Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos came out. It was perfect for our show, which was looney and irrelevant. Their talent was immediately apparent, but with each album, their songwriting prowess became more and more evident. Fast-forward, and this little weird niche band has become globally recognized (well, as recognized as a metal band made up of three violoncellists and one drummer can possibly become).

Anyway, that's an aside. Enjoy some Amon!

    Prost, Freunde!

Caldera distribute here, but the Mogli is one I have been keeping one eye open for! Haven't seen it yet.

Didn't have an opportunity to post this yesterday, but shared a howler of Krampus with a few on my wife's side of the family yesterday who appreciate good "shah".

Keepin' it alive tonight for the closer on family game night with the kids (and a light work week! - fist pump!)

Dark fruit figgy/raisiny/candied sugar goodness to warm you up on a cold, blustery, blizzardy evening.
It didn't really strike me as a BSDA, rather it reminded me of the FW 14th that I was lucky enough to score.
I still consider FW 14th to be the best beer I've ever had.
