Welp,

You can never predict. Wife asked if we had something dark and boozy, and I thought... maybe?

2022 Cumbre La Negra Imperial Stout. 13% ABV and absolutely gorgeous.

Had it with our simple mixed beans and grilled sausage medley, and some toasted up bread from our local bakery (Nightingale! @beergoot) along with a simple salad with some of the vast surplus of tomatoes from our garden.

This beer is underrated; gorgeous bitter, mocha, cocoa nibs, dark dried fruits, great complex vanilla-marshmallow nose with just enough barrel character. Balanced, just thick enough for a BBA stout, not cloying, not too sweet, not one of those diabetic pastry stout specials. Just.... right.

I had to buy 48" treads because the knucklehead that originally installed them made the length 36" and 9/16s . So that sucked. So all but one were that length. The bottom one needed to be scribed with a return.
