Zenzymes again and his winter honey ale in the 750ml bottle format.

Good, 7% ABV. Slight notes of honey and the medium/high ABV is as the friend told me well hidden. Cheers!

Final round of yard grooming today. Might actually need to spark up the push mower again to complete the job. Perfect day for a beer or a glass of bread... Arcobräu Coronator Doppelbock. Cheers!

Morning, BAs! I have been non-stop working since I got up. Kicked off my drinking Sunday with a Sip of Sunshine while I prepped my chili for dinner later this evening (my partner will come home from her vacation with dinner ready to go!):

For this much work, I made sure my mise en place was on fucking point today:

Since I don't like tomatoes (half of us in the house don't, in fact), I don't normally use tomatoes in my chili; I instead go with tomato soup and tomato paste. But I freaking love DOP San Marzano tomatoes. They taste nothing at all like the familiar beefsteak, heirloom, and plum tomatoes we grow here. After hand-crushing, I can literally eat a spoonful of raw San Marzano plum tomatoes and it tastes awesome.

So I'm giving that a try. I'll have to monitor this one closely for richness and consistency. I've got homemade veggie stock on standby if I have to add liquid. Grocery was completely out of hot peppers (seriously!), so I went with powdered Caribbean hot and smoked Carolina reaper for heat, and I've got some sliced Caribbean hot and jalapenos I can add for accents when serving.

    Cheers!

Now that everything's on the stove and doing its own thing (I decided to make some more veggie stock while I was at it, since that's very little effort in parallel with the chili), I'm ready to finally sit down and relax ... and have another beer, of course. :stuck_out_tongue:

The chili looks and smells amazing so far. I think I'm happiest with the step-by-step execution this time around than I've ever been with my chili - and I make damn good chili. Went with red wine instead of beer this time, too.

Cheers, and enjoy your NFL Sunday (if that's a thing you do)! :grinning:

Freddie Mercury died on this date back in 1991, an amazing talent. Regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock music, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range. Live Aid performance.......

Happy football Sunday ba. Enjoying the 1:00 games with no dog in the fight today or for like 10 + years or so. Mylar bags, ddh iipa, oh. Not the best batch I’ve had but still decently smooth with nice notes of peach and melon,
