Yeah Larry it was a 1 day sale , they were flying out of the meat chest as fast as the butcher could bring them out. I ended up buying a 5lb and a 6 lb. (They had. Limit 2) They freeze very well ,no problem eating a year later.

Great Lakes Christmas Ale (7.5%): A Winter Warmer from Ohio with flavors of rich bread, caramel, honey and iced gingerbread cookie.

Some Winter Warmers are surely better and worse than others. The style is broad and often many have unwanted flavors and spices. So I've learned to be more selective when purchasing them. This is the best one year after year. Rich bread, caramel, honey, and toasted brown sugar as it should. But this has an iced gingerbread cookie flavor that is unique, complex without being artificial or overly sweet. It comes together beautifully. I'll probably save at least half of these to drink until after Christmas though. If you're looking for a holiday beer, don't miss it.

Just the opposite here - was 32 yesterday and last I checked it was 59 here. Weird weather for sure!!
