Aslin Pinkies Up (quadruple) IPA... its over 18%. Definitely a cheaper mans 120 Minute, which is fine. Also, first Aslin IPA thing I've ever tried.

1) Benediktiner Oktoberfest (5.8%): A German Festbier with flavors of earth and pale Munich malts. Floral and bready notes.
versus
2) Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier (6.3%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malts, smooth bread, earthy honey and some dank Munich malt flavors. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Festbier Battle. First is Benediktiner. Really good stuff here. Smooth, flavorful and all-around balanced.
Next is Hofbrau. Very similar, but slightly more earthy and sweet Munich malt flavors. Slight win to Hofbrau. Year after year this is always one of the best.
Winner: Hofbrau

This goes out in sympathy to those going through dry January(I’m not)…..I may be doing a short run later this evening. This is one of the better no alcohol beers in my opinion. Cheers!!

 

Happy Wednesday BAs! Currently sipping on a P'tite Maudite from Unibroue. Not as good as its big brother, but for those times when an 8% Belgian dark ale might not be recommended, it's a fine substitute. Cheers!
