Anybody can be influenced that is fine, Grateful Dead where influenced by jazz. Nobody says they are jazz. Friends of mine last year paid over $300 a piece to go see SD and The Eagles play together. They both told me "how much like jazz it was" but they couldn't tell you a single actual jazz musician. I have tried to get them to come to the numerous great jazz events around town that are often free or WAY less than what they paid for that concert and no go. Like them for their musicianship that is fine. I know everyone from Wayne Shorter to Steve Gadd has played with them, but please tell my you know who Wayne Shorter is before you try and tell me what jazz is or isn't (not directed at you). That is all

Fair State A Dose Of Thunder (8.8% canned 12/2/24): A Baltic Porter from Minnesota with flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, roast and grains. Bittersweet.

Great posts on the thread today. And with that, a new Baltic Porter from Fair State. I'll buy pretty much anything I see from Fair State. This drinks excellent and to style. Dark chocolate, cocoa, bittersweet grains with a light roast. Amazingly dry for 8.8% making it incredibly drinkable. Goes down too clean. Fair State doesn't miss. (Rating: 4.20)

First beer I have had canned in 2025. Very nice batch.
