Having another Pilsner Urquell - I could never find this beer around here but my local supermarket got some after I asked if he could get me some - much appreciated,

    Great glass Larry!
@beergoot I appreciate you rocking Rush today! I see they are releasing a 50th anniversary anthology which is pretty amazing! First time i saw them was in Detroit in summer '82. Either one loves them or hates them!
Drinking a Cyro Wet Hop IPA from Sierra Nevada and listening to Lithium on SiriusXM.
    Cheers!

...I neither love or hate Rush, I just never quite got the bug for them that my younger brothers did...I tend to enjoy their first few albums the most...I believe when I saw them live in 1974, that would have put me in my junior year of high school  (which sounds about right)...

    1) Hidden Hand With Random Precision (7.5% no canning date):
A NEIPA from Chicago with Simcoe, Amarillo, Apollo, Columbus, and Centennial for flavors of tangerine, apricot, earthy resinous stonefruit, citrus, and pine.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Best Buds (8.0% canned 11/19/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Simcoe and Moteuka for flavors of orange citrus and zest, tropical green melon, and some lime. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Chicago NEIPA Battle. First is Hidden Hand Brewing. First try at this brewery. This one has west-coast hops, but in a NEIPA form. Orange, tangerine, apricot. Lots of those earthy and resinous Simcoe flavors here.
Next is Hop Butcher Best Buds. Also with some Simcoe. More smooth berries, lime, tropical green melon. Excellent.
First try at Hidden Hand from Chicagoland. Let me know if you know anything about them. Seems like they have some promise in the IPA game. This was sort of that "hazy west-coast IPA" style. Pretty good stuff and I'd like to see more.
    Winner: Hop Butcher Best Buds

Next is Glenn Hilton Park, an imperial stout aged in Port wine barrels with raspberries. This one is special to me as it's named after a park I frequently went to as a kid in my hometown of Hickory North Carolina.
