This beer might be a very brief synopsis of the new Marvel movie, based on what I've seen from the commercials.


Triple Crossing Falcon Smash was a beer I sought, found, and really enjoyed about 7 years ago or so. I've had it on occasion since, but never from a can. My first sip was very enjoyable. Then I ate some spicy snacks, and my palate has been thrown off. Hopefully things reverse course after the mild numbing sensation goes away.

Off Color Brewing Beer For Power Plays (7.5%): A Baltic Porter from Chicago with flavors of smooth cocoa, caramel, brown bread and sugar. Lightly toasted and hints of roast. Smooth and malty, but light.

Continuing on the Chicago trend today with another one. Can't forget to mention @ChicagoJ here who had very high reviews on this a month ago. One of my favorite breweries in Chicagoland. They make some great brews with a slight twist. This is their Baltic Porter. Smooth chocolate, caramel, brown sugar. Malty, but also light enough and clean. Not much roast or bitterness. It's an amazingly flavorful and complex beer, but doesn't have quite the bitterness or roast I'd expect in a Baltic Porter. Drinks more in-tune with a doppelbock. A bit "off-color" you might say. An amazing brewery and I always enjoy picking up new ones from them. Off Color is always putting a ton of knowledge, effort, and nuance into their brews. Extremely enjoyable beer.

 

Alright I can see that too. Pic fooled me into thinking it was Lake Pontartrain with NO in background. Crazy weather for the Gulf.
