Solid stuff.

 

Boulevard Carrot Cake BBA Belgian-Style Strong Ale, 12.2% ABV. I rated this 3.97 in October.

Packing a box for my BIF target. Those BCBS cylinder boxes work great for shipping bottles. Redacted labels and part of my cellar in the background. Could be some hints in the picture too.

 

That was some whack by Soto yesterday! I’m sure all Yankees fans are crying in their beer (including @TheIPAHunter).

Right along here ba. Second pack down but I will likely grab a third later in the week,

 

1) BlackStack Next Week (8.2% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Mosaic Cryo, Strata, and Nelson for flavors of grapefruit, passionfruit, dank white grape and lychee. Clean and dry. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)
versus
2) BlackStack KPIs (8.3% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with HBC 602 and Nectaron for flavors of lemon, bright pineapple, grapefruit, white grape, and mango. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

BlackStack IPA Battle. First is Next Week. Some great Strata and Nelson here. Mango, grapefruit, also with some grape and berries. Complex and outstanding.
Next is BlackStack KPIs. A newer and triple dry-hopped version from hops from Yakima. This has some great grape and mango flavors. Robust flavor here. Outstanding as well.
Hard to call a winner here. BlackStack keeps making the best. I think Next Week has more complex hop flavor with the Strata and Nelson, but KPIs has more robust hop flavors. The triple dry-hopping is pretty intense here. I think when KPIs hop burn settles the complexity may develop more. BlackStack keeps making the best haze I've had from The Twin Cities.
Winner: BlackStack Next Week

So our small ass town has Tractor Parade today. Closed street. Open container. Drinking Home Grown Pale Ale from Little House Brewing. I love it, I would call it a low-key WIPA.

Also met Emma down there. I have a soft spot for Newfoundlands after we lost ours 4-years ago.
