    I believe this 2012 Shipyard Bourbon Barrel Aged Double Scottish received the highest rating I have ever done on BA during my 4 1/2 years as a member. 11.8% ABV. Astounding beer IMO.

    I've had other Weihenstephaner beers but this is my first Vitus IIRC. Always blows my mind that only for only $3 they can make and export a half litre of something this effing good.

    Started off with this after hearing how much people like it:

    It was OK, but kind of reminded me of Coors, one of the few domestic mass produced that I'll drink.

    Then I went on a mountain bike ride to check out Folsom Pond aka Folsom Lake, at 17% capacity in this terrible drought year, we need some serious rain.
