Reminds me that I need to make a Veil run.

 

1) Phase Three Unchecked Imagination (7.8% canned 1/17/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra and Moteuka with flavors of orange, lemon, lime, and mango. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)
versus
2) Phase Three Linear Gradient (7.8% canned 2/17/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Amarillo, & Moteuka for flavors of orange, tangelo, some smooth lime and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Happy Sunday BeerAdvocates. A banger Phase Three NEIPA Battle I've been looking forward to for a while
First is Unchecked Imagination. Citra, Motueka for some great orange and green lime flavors. Smooth green melon and tropical lime notes. One of the best IPAs I've had and among the best from Phase Three.
Next is Linear Gradient. Similar hop combo with the addition of Amarillo. A bit more bright grapefruit and citrus. Still has some lime notes, but slightly more zesty and citrusy. A bit intense when fresh, but this is settling in perfectly at 6 weeks and the flavors are unfolding. Also, among the best I've had from Phase Three. They are nailing the Motueka hop lately. Both similar and I'd put in the World-Class category. Slight edge to Unchecked Imagination
Winner: Phase Three Unchecked Imagination

Started the afternoon with taking my wife out for lunch for her birthday today along with Thing 1 & 2. Dewey Beer Co. - Black Taxi Imperial Stout.



Now? Back home with a 2016 while watching the Dodgers play catch-up to the Phils (and just pulled ahead by a run ... and now down again by a run ).



Tune. This makes we want to jam pencils in my ear () ...
