    Had fun at the follow-up visit to the eye doc today. Checked on the cornea surgery I had six weeks ago. Still somewhat blurry and scratchy but it looks like they pretty much got rid of the scars and uneven spots. Sooner or later I will get around to having cataract surgery.

    Having myself a Polish brewed lager. Actually pretty good and worth the price of <$4 for a 19.9 ounce bottle.

    Dark, purplish brown pour, dark and opaque in the glass; nice, thick tan head, long-lasting, moderately dense. Nice roasted grain nose; lightly burnt toast. Rich and dense flavors; sweet caramel; nougat; dark roast coffee; coconut-like sweetness; dense and complex bitterness from various sources. Heavy with residual sugar density with lip-smacking stickiness; subdued alcohol warmth.

    What a gorgeous collaborative effort! Rich with sweetness but not cloying, nicely offset with bitter, dark coffee tones and a near-elusive boozy presence. A well-done number!
