    Having just spent a couple of days in Paris, I immediately started missing the food as soon as I got home. Delightful. However, we also spent about two full weeks in Europe absolutely craving New Haven-style apizza - so there are some nice things about being home, for sure. :slight_smile:



    Hell yes I did! But it's only a 375ml bottle, not the classic 750ml death-by-Black-Tuesday-to-the-dome experience. Even then, though, I have two sips left right now, almost three hours after pouring it. I think it's about time for another beer. :grinning:

    I know many of yous would call this heresy, but I don't believe it is necessary to import Belgian fruit lambic beers to Wisconsin, when we have New Glarus Brewing. And just so you are aware, most people in these parts call this beer a frame Boise.

    New Haven coal fired Apizza is absolutely the best pizza in the world! My opinion, but I'm willing to debate.
    I can't wait to make the 5 hr trek back to New Haven just to visit the places we missed on our last vacation. So. Freaking. Awesome!
    And what pairs well with Apizza, beer, of course.

    Flight on Pollyanna's Anniversary Red Tap Handle Tour at their St. Charles brewery/distillery. 11 years overall, 6 of those here in St. Charles.
    Lobster Line Dance is their new hazy IPA this variant is infused with kiwi. Timestamp is a blueberry honey wheat ale. Dawg a, a kolsch with NIU, a classic Pils, and their 11th Anniversary lager is a festbier this year.

    It's absolutely my favorite. I'm also a huge fan of sauce, and while I love cheese, heaping gobs of greasy mozzarella aren't my idea of fine cheese. So give me a pizza that focuses on great dough, great sauce, and a good cook. A "CT plain" pizza (or tomato pie) is shockingly good pizza when executed correctly, and I'd argue most people outside of CT find the very idea foreign and crazy (until they try it!).

    And while I love pairing red wine with red sauces, yes, a crisp light beer is a perfect complement for New Haven apizza. :grinning:
