I do not ever recall seeing a black hefeweizen. I guess it's the yang to the blonde stout. I am sure you are getting the hefe yeast phenol flavors but my mind would ignore the phenols and be thinking this is a nice porter!
Me, getting into another lovely brew from @jzeilinger . An IPA lover cannot go wrong with a Tired Hands brew!

The Black Hefe is pale with banana bread crust, a hint of grape, caramel malts that leave a trace of char and very little aftertaste. Not dry. Med-lite bodied.
I bashed 2 into my face w ease
