Lawson's Sip of Sunshine tall boy with NFL is a nice combo.

[IMG] Happy Sunday afternoon! Shoutout to @SawDog505 for kicking it off! Went to my local distributor today to get some propane and saw that they had some “Shugga” and picked up a 6 pack!

Enjoying my first Christmas beer for the season. My favorite this time of year - N'ice Chouffe 10% abv from Achouffe Brewery in Belgium. Has just about everything I want in a Christmas beer. Cheers!

Mrs. ATL6245 finished decorating the tree today. She always does a wonderful job making the house feel festive for the Holidays.

Find that at Proper Hop? I'm always on the lookout for a good Vienna Lager. Good enough to track down?

How far back do you go as a Cardinal's fan, Tom? St. Louis days or after they moved to AZ?

Bought this guy in Asheville. I don't think Von Trapp is distributed here at all. In any case, it's pretty bland. I would definitely recommend the Live Oak Big Bark over this one.

Good Sunday afternoon. We had our first snow of the season earlier today. Fortunately, it turned to rain and didn't stick. But it still qualifies as Stout Weather. I'm drinking one I brought back from our trip to North Carolina this week: Burial Brewing Co.'s 2024 Houtenhamer, a BA Imperial Stout. It is World Class! I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Cheers!

Ah, I see. I didn't think they did but PH gets some unusual stuff. I saw some Von Trapp when me and the Mrs. were in FL back in September. I should have grabbed some just to try it. I have yet to have anything that beats Schilling Volksgarten. Not many of our locals do a more historical style one. Ironshield's Seven Sister's was pretty good, but they went under.

    1) Fair State Black Pils (4.9%): A German Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark grains, bittersweet cocoa and earthy notes. Bitter and roasted.
    versus
    2) Half Acre Ridge Tree (4.5%): A Czech Dark Lager from Chicago with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, light roast. Clean. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Another Dark Lager Battle. First is Fair State Black Pils. Dark malt, roasty with a bitter finish. Next is Half Acre Ridge Tree, a Czech dark lager. Pours slightly lighter. Slightly more cocoa notes and less bitterness. Similar difference between these as how you expect a German and Czech Pilsner to drink.
    Winner: Fair State Black Pils

Thanks! I am finding it hard to shoot these days because the snow on the ground creates too much contrast. Plus that is a pretty dark beer.
