Seeing all the BA anniversary posts reminded me that this February marks 15 years on BA for me. Time flies.

Hit me with some great beer suggestions to celebrate — always curious what everyone’s reaching for these days.

 

Finally home. Scored a few Sip stovepipes over the past couple days. Cheers!

 

Since I’m on my Sierra Nevada IPA kick, why not add a couple of Fuzzy Murky Muddies?

Well I wasn’t planning on it – I’m quite satisfied with my delicious West Coast IPAs from Sierra Nevada, but there I was at the gas station – and two Sierra Murkies were right there in front of me next to the 24 ounce paper-bag chugsters - Budweister, Modelo, Coors…… and these 19.2 ounce Sierra Nevadas no less… How can a beer lover resist!

Actually, there was time when Fuzzy Murky Muddies would have been considered a big-time flaw in your brewing. That is unless you were into Zwickelbiers - a European fuzzy due to a lot of unsuspended yeast and unsettled solids and other glop in the young beer - or maybe a Hefeweizen, again with a lot of low-flocculating, unsuspended yeast clouding things up.

Trends are what they are, so here we are with Hazy IPAs! Who woulda thunk! Well I have to say, this is a GREAT smelling beer, I’m 2 feet away and the fantastic hop aroma is coming on strong! Hazy Little Thing IPA is also a DELICIOUS 6.7% ABV brew and features great head, great lacing and a bunch of tasty hops, notably Citra, Magnum, Comet, Mosaic, El Dorado, and Simcoe!

Well I’m still not altogether sold on the Fuzzy Murky Muddy concept, but it’s not going away either, so I suppose I should embrace it, maybe until the next big trend! Cheers!
