Good afternoon BAdvocates. I’m drinking a Hoegaarden White on this 55 degree Monday. Think these have a best by date one year after bottling, correct? If so, this one’s relatively fresh with a BB date of September 19 2026.

1) Great Notion Synesthesia (8.3% canned 11/23/25): A NEIPA from Oregon with Citra, Nelson, Motueka & Phantasm for flavors of orange, pineapple, sweet grape juice.
versus
2) WeldWerks Extra Extra Juicy Bits ( 8.4% canned 12/4/25): A NEIPA from Colorado with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado for flavors of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, berries, and mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Great Notion versus WeldWerks DIPA Battle. First is Great Notion. Promising hop combo with Citra, Nelson, Motueka and Phantasm. Lots of juicy orange, ripe pineapple, and sweet grape juice. But has that hot, overly juicy, phenolic tone to it lacking much balance.
Next is WeldWerks. A simpler hop combination. A little more resinous and pine notes from the more traditional hops. But overall a better balance and IPA here in WeldWerks.
Winner: WeldWerks
