Thanks amigo! I’m hoping I’ll get to stay another year here, but at least I have through August for now.

@DoctorZombies Happy Birthday! Enjoy some of those Floridian sunny rays for me since it’s raining here in Madrid.


On to my 2nd of the afternoon, this 8% German Rauchbeer that (to no surprise) is incredibly smoky in flavor and aroma. Smells kind of like a BBQ pit, while the taste is a bit milder, tasting somewhere between a campfire and an oak barrel. This one is a sipper for sure.

Sunny but crisp here today - supposed to get to upper 20s today and tomorrow - after last weeks very cold spell - I will take that!

One of my favorite local stouts - with coffee! Yum!



had a flock of bluebirds in my yard yesterday - counted 4 or 5 of them - colorful guys!

Good morning BAdvocates and happy birthday @DoctorZombies !

I'm drinking a pFriem IPA on this sunny Monday. I'm not sure what these cans went through on their ~570 mile trip from Portland, but the labels are all scratched up and the cans are dented and sticky. Tasting great though, and that's what matters!

Lunch beer . . .

6666 Amber Lager

Clear bright red gold color with quickly vanishing white cap.

Aroma of rich malt and lightly floral hops.

Flavor is malty allright, like chewing on a malt sandwich. Complementary hops riding on top all the way to the clean dry finish.

 

We drove out to Weyerbacher Brewing in Easton, PA, so I could get my annual supply of Insanity, BA Barleywine, one of my all-time favorite brews, but I was bummed to learn they didn’t bottle it this winter. It’s not even on draught. Oh, well, I’ll get bottles of Blasphemy (BA Quad) and Enormity (BA Stout) instead. As I change my plans I’m drinking Double Simcoe IPA. Cheers!
