1) Other Half Mylar Dust (8.5% canned 12/23/25): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic, El Dorado Galaxy for flavors of navel orange, and peach.
versus
2) Other Half IACed in Space (8.5% canned 12/14/25): A NEIPA from NY with Citra and Galaxy for flavors of lemon/lime, pineapple, passionfruit, and mango. (Mismatched the two blind)

Other Half IPA Battle. First is Mylar Dust. Nice hop variety here. Variety of flavors too with orange and some orange, tangerine, and resinous peach underneath. Some kiwi and mango flavors too. Rounded and complex.
Next is lACEd in Space. More simple hop combo here with Citra and Galaxy. Nice passionfruit and lemon/lime from the Galaxy. Not always been a Galaxy fan, but the hop flavor has grown on me. Side by side, I like this better.
Winner: Other Half lACed in Space

Just Can’t Get Enough ~ Depeche Mode

 

We're in the low to mid 60's here south of Asheville the last two days. I hear ya regarding the bounce in the step. I sense hibernation is ending for this human and perhaps for my black bear friends. Got the habanero bird food and the woman at the bird store says the bears will smell it and not bother us. This will be an interesting experiment!
Had to break out one of my non-BA Black Watch stouts from Highland for round 2 to compare. Confirming the viscosity is much more satisfying and while not getting the barrel warming and a hint of vanilla, the base beer flavors are not muted; this is a star on its own!
