Happy Sunday ba. A nice lazy Sunday w/ no catastrophic weather events. Gonna relax and watch some Mets spring training.

Up and at it here w/ fort point, ipa (citra, columbus), trillium. Decent batch,

 

Still watching English Premier League, now with a Great Lakes Brewery Pompous Ass ESB from Toronto.

Right along here ba. Another old raspy, ris, nc. Plenty on the shelves here- easy grab and pop,

 

And there it is.

Same beer a bit different colour and slightly different taste. I guess the tourist-trap-wrapping was a bit aged, as this is a yeast-on-bottle-beer. But no reason to pay more than 3 small bottles for a gift wrapping.

The triple is called 500 because it was created at the 500th anniversary of the chimay brewery. That is all there is to it.

Little update:
The Cheeky Girls (twins Monica and Gabriela Irimia), famous for their 2002 hit "Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)" are now working as sales executives for Audi dealers in Yorkshire. After facing bankruptcy in 2009 due to record label issues, they transitioned to the motor trade but continue to make occasional public appearances and live music performances.

Sounds like a fun vacation destination! I remember a band from Germany called TRIO with the song "Bum Bum". Pretty funny. Somebody should re-do the song into a now-time mosh up 12" dance edit

Revolution V.S.O.J. 2024 BBA English Barleywine, 14.4% ABV. I rated this 4.87, tied with Central Waters XXV Pappy's BA as my highest rated beers.

Breakside/North Park FUturism WC IPA (Tangier, Citra, Mosaic). Zippy and bright tangerine, yellow peach, orange zest, ripe pineapple, earthy dank, pine resin. A complex fruity hop character, pretty firm bitterness, and a crisp and high drinkability make this one a damn good modern West Coast IPA.

Spring is here, so I am at Bierkeller Columbia

enjoying a Cerne Pivo, inspired by the beer at U Fleku in Prague. Na zdravi!

 

Stopped in the GearHouse Brewery this morning for Brunch. They’re serving up some tasty brews and breakfast offerings.
I enjoyed the Breakfast Stout on the flight, so I got a full pour.
