    ...I use red wine more for cooking than drinking...made chicken cacciatori the other day...the recipe called for balsamic vinegar, which I thought added a really nice dimension to the tomato base...

    That’s how it’s served
    After I got kicked off the Abraham Lincoln chair
    I settled into the seat next to the coal fueled fireplace in the center of the bar: really enjoyed my time there.
    Yes: I am a tourist, but sometimes you get lucky and hit gold!!!

    Night at the Village Vanguard we had a few mixed drinks after 10 and wasn’t conducive to chatting. Great show though. Spent a precious hour at mcSorleys: pound for pound we lifted heavy weights beer/ 10 minutes. Most brew drank was at the airport with a 2 hour delay….. fucking hustle of the city, playa

    btw: Manhattan School of Music: their shit don’t stink

    North Coast Brother Thelonious (9.4%):     A Belgian Dark Ale from California with flavors of Belgian spice, sweet red apples and berries.

    My first review at this. Strong Belgian Dark Ale. Lots of dark red fruits. Red apples, berries, citrus mixed with Belgian spices. A spiced apple sweetness lingers. Alcohol presence isn't overly displayed or hidden.
    Not a style I frequent, but this is enjoyable.

    Same here, but I do enjoy the occasional glass of Gewurstraminer which is my favorite wine. Balsamic vinegar is really versatile, I bet it was great with the chicken cacciatore!
