Wow, today’s temperature is half of yesterday’s! We’re watching the SEC tournament and I’m drinking Big Tree, DIPA, from Bur Oak. Cheers!

 

Quite a weird weather day here today - some sun, warm temps, but strong crazy winds and rains off and on.....ah well, tis the season I suppose!

Rained a ton this afternoon, now its passed (for the most part, I think another small round is coming later tonight) but the sun is out now. I think its the start of the last week or two of great weather around here, before it starts to just continuously warms until we are broiled

Guinness Extra Stout in the glass, Bill Evans spinning...his wonderful Tokyo Concert.

 

And surely the extra bits of keilbasa and kapusta.

Back at it ba. Managed to grab a single can of this out of a broken box.
Irish cream, bba milk stout, boulevard. Big time creamy/smooth feel with a sweet/vanilla cream flavor upfront. The barrel is pretty subtle, but noticeable, and seems to lend more towards the silky feel and abv- at which the 11% is rather unnoticeable. Nails the Irish cream/baileys flavor for sure.
Not my favorite style, and not sure I’ll bother w/ more but this is well done stuff,

Whiskey Road never disappoints. The food is top-notch, the tap list always has something for everyone (and sometimes an unexpected surprise or two), and they have a killer whisk(e)y menu.

Pretty sure I'd never guess this is 9.5% if it wasn't on the label. I remember trying to get a stuck piece of toast out of the toaster with a butter knife when I was really young (a shocking experience to say the least). Amazing I made it to 70 after some of the stupid things I've done along the way.

 

Still in beautiful Florida, made my way down to Jupiter late this afternoon. Found this relatively fresh (Best By 5/2/26) and will break my “Don’t drink in your hotel room” codicil when traveling on company business and have a couple and mule the rest of the 6er home.

Because that’s wot we (beer nerds) dew.

PS: the beer is VERY good.

Not much of a midweek drinker, but the weather demands some grilling while the kids play in the back yard. Having some Pilsner Urquell to keep me hydrated in the heat

Lotsa lemon.There are a shitload of IPLs, IPAs, and American Pilsners that merge in the flavor dept. Not a new thing. Just an observation.

 

Imprint Brewing Sunkissed (7.2% canned 11/30/25): A NEIPA from Pennsylvania with Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson for flavors of vinous white grapes, grapefruit, berry medley, and tropical pineapple.

Already on the Citra and Nelson bus today, like I often am. Figured why not another. My last of these had been sitting in my fridge too long. First try at this was amazing. The triple dry-hopping has settled down some of the heat. Now at three months, somehow this is peaking. Tropical flavors balance the citrus. This is finally becoming as amazing as I remember the first time I tried this.

First of all, the hotel plastic cups always enhance the flavor of the brew. But all kidding aside, that is a very good brew down here in FL. Glad you're enjoying it. Cheers!

 

Leatherback Brewing Bio Bay DIPA, we plan on hitting this brewery tomorrow.

 

Well, I didn't notice those, pretty much a hop forward lager. I will try to review one later.
