I was in a lounge in JFK a few weeks ago and this brightened my stay

After seeing this post, I'm asking myself the same thing. Thankfully I'm in my home office and Mrs. ATL6245 has not returned home from work. Yikes!

 

This is the best Guinness imho...

 

Excellent. I think @beergoot has already rolled out both Sullivan's in fine fashion.

 

Honestly, I like Murphy's better than Guinness. (incoming!!!!!)

Home now splitting a Guinness Foreign Extra Stout:



Waiting for my drinking buddy (who now lives in Brazil) to show up, then we’ll go to Hawthorne for beers. Cheers!

I tend to like it a bit more, but they are different beers - I think Murphy's is a lot softer and less bitter than Guinness. I think Murphy's has a fuller mouthfeel. But, they're both excellent and either one will satisfy

 

Nail on head. That's why I like it better than Guinness. It's silky and less bitter. I'd never turn down a Guinness but I'm buying the Murphy's!

 

Another room temp Guinness Extra Stout, sort of for nostalgic reasons. I drink the Draught a lot at local bars. I do like the Foreign Extra Stout and almost got some this year, ended up grabbing some regular Extra Stout to revisit and refresh my taste on it. So far my take is as long as it isn't too cold it still seems enjoyable to me. It's funny to think I used to pair a 22oz bottle of Guinness Extra Stout with a steak back in 2015 or so, it actually sounds pretty good right about now too. Happy St Patrick’s Day!!!

 

1) Phase Three Soft Skies (7.8% canned 2/23/26): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Superdelic, El Dorado for flavors of orange, pear, stone fruit, lime, pineapple, berry
versus
2) Other Half Bagel and Schmear (7.5% canned 1/6/26): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, El Dorado, Nelson with flavors of grapefruit, orange citrus, white grape, and OJ. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Phase Three versus Other Half IPA Battle, both some Citra and El Dorado. First is Phase Three Soft Skies. Citra, Superdelic, El Dorado. Nice blend of flavors. Superdelic adds some complexity with pear, lime, pineapple, and berry. Nice complexity of flavors rounded out by tropical berries. Finish is clean and dry. Once again excellent craftmanship from Phase Three.
Next is Other Half Bagel and Schmear. Similar, but a bit of Nelson adds some grapefruit zest and OJ. Sweeter and not quite as refined or smooth.
Phase Three always continues to impress me.
Winner: Phase Three Soft Skies
