    1) Mortalis Persephone (8.0% canned 12/28/25): A NEIPA from NY with Citra and Krush for flavors of peach, lime citrus, guava, pine, grapefruit
    versus
    2) Mortalis Gaia Motueka (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Mosaic, Motueka for flavors of orange, OJ, pineapple and mango zest. (Mismatched the two blind)

    Happy April BeerAdvocates. A banger Mortalis battle today. First is Persephone. Citra and Krush combo absolutely kills its with a strawberry, lime, guava, flavor. A perfect balance of citrus and tropical notes here even with some floral tones.
    Next is Gaia Motueka. My first try at this. Promising hop combo with the Citra/Mosaic base plus the Motueka. A lot of OJ here. Some pineapple and mango zest as well. Not quite as much mojito or lime as I expected from the Motueka. Shows the alcohol a bit is the only flaw. But it's Mortalis so it's still amazing. But Mortalis Persephone gets the win and the perfect beer to celebrate the goddess of Spring

    Good afternoon BAdvocates. Grabbed a six pack of Coors Light so I’d have something on-hand for friends/family who generally dislike any beer with taste. :rolling_eyes:

    Anyway, been a while since I last had one of these and it’s actually going down pretty nicely.

    ...for the record, I've never said I wasn't ignorant and haven't made mistakes...:sunglasses:...stupid, but never, never ignorant (well, there was that time in West Berlin and this bath house near Poughkeepsie circa 1997 - or was that East Des Moines during the blizzard of '82 with the French poodles, gun molls - and - supposedly, the bass player from that epic band the Grass Roots...my head spins and twists trying to recall this (purportedly) shameful life episode...I blame the beer...yet I was of legal age...

    I'll bet you have a phenomenal view of the launch! When the shuttle would go up in the early 90's we could feel the ground vibrate at Lockheed by UCF about 5 minutes after the launch....cheers!

    Yes, we have some peeps coming over to watch it on our dock…. I would guesstimate we’re about 10 miles from the launch site as the crow flies.
